In November 2023, I — Carrie — was made redundant after nearly 12 years in my previous role. It was a huge change and an even bigger decision, but it gave me the push I needed to finally follow my true passion.

In February 2024, I launched Carrie’s Canines, turning my lifelong love of dogs into the career I’d always dreamed of. What began as a new chapter has grown into a business centred around dog walking, training, and supporting reactive dogs — and I can honestly say I adore every single moment of it.

At the heart of it all is Luna, my own dog and the real boss behind the scenes. She keeps me motivated, adds plenty of laughter to my days, and reminds me why I chose this path in the first place.

Although I run the business myself, I’m lucky to have support from a lovely lady named Becky, who helps with ad-hoc walks when I’m unavailable and covers during holidays. She’s incredibly reliable, supportive, and someone I’m truly grateful to have on board.
