About us

In November 2023, I — Carrie — was made redundant after nearly 12 years in my previous role. It was a huge life change and, at the time, an uncertain one, but it gave me the push I needed to finally follow my true passion.

In February 2024, I launched Carrie’s Canines, turning my lifelong love of dogs into the career I had always dreamed of. What started as a new beginning has grown into a business built around dog walking, training, and supporting reactive dogs — and I can honestly say I love every single moment of it.

At the heart of it all was Luna, my own dog and the true boss behind the scenes. She kept me motivated, filled my days with laughter, and reminded me daily why I chose this path.

On 23rd March 2026, Luna sadly crossed the rainbow bridge after a brave battle with cancer. Losing her has left an immeasurable gap, but her impact continues to shape everything I do.

In her memory, I created Luna’s Legacy (www.lunaslegacy.co.uk) — a space dedicated to raising funds for meaningful causes, supporting others through pet loss, and continuing the love and compassion Luna gave so freely. Through this, her spirit lives on in every dog helped, every person supported, and every step forward.

Although I run the business myself, I’m incredibly lucky to have support from Becky, who helps with ad-hoc walks when I’m unavailable and covers during holidays. She is reliable, kind, and someone I’m truly grateful to have as part of the journey.
